This policy covers the Learn European Portuguese A1/2 app for iPhone and Apple Watch (“the app”), made by David de Souza.
1 · No data collected
The app does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal data. Specifically, it has:
- no accounts or sign-in,
- no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools,
- no advertising,
- no third-party SDKs.
We never see which words you learn, how you study or who you are.
2 · Your progress stays on your device
Your learning progress — which words you’ve seen, your review schedule, your daily goal, streak and settings — is stored only on your iPhone. It is copied directly to your paired Apple Watch (over Apple’s WatchConnectivity, device to device) so you can review on your wrist; it is not sent to us.
Progress is included in your normal iPhone backups (iCloud or computer), which are controlled by you and Apple.
Deleting the app, or using Settings › Reset all progress in the app, erases your progress.
3 · Purchases are handled by Apple
Subscriptions and offer codes are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple’s handling of that information is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The app only asks the App Store whether your subscription is active, so it can unlock the words.
4 · Speech and notifications
Words are spoken with a voice built into iOS, on your device. Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; they are optional and only turned on if you ask for them.
5 · Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
6 · This website’s newsletter
Separately from the app: if you sign up to the newsletter on this website, we store your email address, the date and the page you signed up from. We use it only to send the newsletter and the free PDF, and we never sell or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email david@hypertodo.com and we’ll delete your address. The website uses no tracking cookies or analytics.
7 · Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions? Email david@hypertodo.com.
